What Kind of Christian Am I?

Here are my results from the test:

You Scored as Roman Catholic

You are Roman Catholic. Church tradition and ecclesial authority are hugely important, and the most important part of worship for you is mass. As the Mother of God, Mary is important in your theology, and as the communion of saints includes the living and the dead, you can also ask the saints to intercede for you.

At 86%, I'm more Roman Catholic than you are, - nyah, nyah, nyahhh! (Which is kind of odd, considering that I strongly disagreed that the Pope is the Head of the Church on Earth.)

That is odd, since I also strongly disagreed that the Pope is the Head of the Church on Earth! What's up with that?!!

That makes three of us; I'm 89% RC. But I left the RC's to become Anglican--didn't I?

It's a fun but flawed (and perhaps even confused or biased) test. How anyone can come out as over 80% "Roman Catholic" while strongly disagreeing with the statement "The Pope is the head of the Church on Earth" is beyond me.

Just for fun (and to demonstrate the depth of this test's theological confusion), I took the test again and agreed with every single statement on it. I then had to take a tie breaker, for which I chose to agree with the statement "Karl Barth's theology is hugely important." That made me Neo-Orthodox (even though, in this case, I strongly agreed with the statement "The Pope is the head of the Church on Earth").

I then went back and took the test again, this time disagreeing with every statement. Once more, I had to take a tie breaker (with the same list of statements), and again I chose to agree with the statement "Karl Barth's theology is hugely important." And once again, I came out as Neo-Orthodox!

So you can agree with every statement or disagree with every statement on this test, and you're still Neo-Orthodox so long as you think that Barth's theology is hugely important.

Hi Bryan+,
I think they say "You scored as ..." for which ever you scored the highest percentage. But you only scored 82% Roman Catholic, not 100%.
Maybe you would be 100% Roman Catholic if you agreed that the Pope is the Head of the Church on Earth.

My top three were the same as yours, but in a different order. I scored 100% Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan, 86% Neo-Orthodox, and 71% Roman Catholic.

I thought I was very low on Fundamentalist, only 21%, but you scored even lower than me on that!

Good and interesting points, Perpetua! Thanks for sharing.

I enjoy taking these tests, both because they (sometimes simultaneously - which in itself is intriguing) often get so much right and some things so off base.
